eLearning should be fun AND sustainable.

At first glance, everything seemed perfect on the homodea eLearning platform. Visually uniform courses, a dream for branding experts. But the rigid course structure was the complete opposite of the growth mindset that homodea wants to achieve.
Homodea, a platform for personal development, faced two challenges: The content team wanted flexibility without sacrificing the uniform look. And Users got lost in the extensive coaching training . The system was not designed for so much content. The retrievability of the one very specific PDF? A drama in several acts that was bound to cause frustration among users.

I collected all the pain points during research phase: In a Facebook group where users vented their frustration, with the content team and the service team.
Together with a best practices analysis of all major eLearning platforms, a best case concept was developed.

The solution for more clarity and flexibility?
A customizable subnavigation at course level. On the overview page, users find all the essential information about the course.
The learning path can be found in the course overview and all downloads from the course as well as notes from each lesson are consolidated centrally.

But the devil is in the detail: more precisely in the progress bar. How should progress be measured – by the number of lessons or the added video lengths? And how is time for text lessons and reflection tasks added?
